A wide range of glazing options is available to optimise energy efficiency including clear, coloured, frosted, patterned, toughened, and energy efficient glass.
Our trained consultants can advise you on the best choice of glass and module configuration to optimise the energy efficiency of your windows and doors. Prevailing weather conditions, aspect of each room, materials used in wall construction and proximity to traffic and outside noise sources are all taken into consideration. Double glazing is an option with all units.
Do you need safety glass thickness for certain applications, extra thick or double glazing for better insulation?
Do you want some or all of your windows pre-tinted? If your glass windows and doors have little or no eaves above them, overlook water or very white exteriors or tiles then we would recommend pre-tinting.
If you are going to have curtains or soft furnishings or a walk-in wardrobe near you windows or doors then we would recommend some UV filter to minimise fading.
Think about how you are going to clean each window and door? Are you on a steep block? Do you have access or a deck below to facilitate easy cleaning?
Which windows and doors are you wanting to screen and what types of screens do you have in mind?
Do you want heavy duty screens or lightweight screens to maximise airflow while still keeping insects out. We typically partner with Prowler Proof for insect and security screens and Centor or Brio for retractable screens.
They have a variety of screens that can be operated with a flick of a switch including an architecturally designed retractable insect screen for large doors and window – a single span screens up to 3.05 metres high and 7.4 metres wide which retracts invisibly into a door frame. See more here.
