Stacker Doors
For wide spans use our timber stacker sliding doors. Used as a virtual wall they bring natural light into the room whether they are opened or closed.
Overview
By sliding or stacking the large glass panels on top of each other to one side of the room they give you that longed-for indoor-outdoor lifestyle, filling inside with the fragrant scents of outside, cooling breezes in summer, warm sunshine in winter and an abundance of light and fresh air all year round.
Stacking sliding doors are typically used when
- you have a large wall area that you want to glass and look through to a garden or view and
- you want minimum frame lines in that view – so in effect each glass frame is relatively large.
Once stacked, you only see one pane or frame of glass on one side of the room. In some instances they can be stacked beyond the room itself, on the outside to create an impressive and expansive opening and a separate wind break area.
External cavity options are possible as well. Or you can have them slide into a pocket inside the wall, an internal cavity, completely disappearing from sight, creating the ultimate in pavilion style living.
