Common Questions
Following is a list of questions we are regularly asked. If you have other questions please get in touch.
Why don’t you have pricing on your site?
Much of the difference between a well-designed and engineered window or door and a commonly manufactured one is not immediately visible to the eye, yet has a significant impact on the performance, longevity, maintenance and function of the unit. Our products vastly exceed Australian standards and are entirely custom made according to client desires and specifications. For this reason it would be misleading to show pricing in the vein of off-the-shelf products. Such pricing could be viewed as click bait just to hook inquiries. Upon understanding your requirements we will happily provide you with a quote detailing all inclusions.
Do you exhibit at the Home Shows?
We currently don’t attend the Home Shows however you are welcome to make an appointment to come to our facility and talk to us and tour our factory. We can accommodate the odd Saturday morning visit from people who live further afield with advance notice.
Do you install your windows and doors?
Most clients are already working with a builder. However if you don’t have a builder we can provide you with details of a BSA registered builder who will undertake installation work including lock fitting. By Regulation only registered and insured contractors are permitted to do installations.
Can we see timber and stain samples?
Yes, come to our factory, we will be happy to show you.
I am a builder / architect, how quickly can you turn around a quote for me?
The day we receive your design specifications which you can upload to us here, we count as day 0. We aim to get them to you 10 business days later (on Day 10), sooner if we can manage it.
I am a home owner, how quickly can you quote on my job?
For all quotes we try to provide quotes before or by the 10th day after we receive the specifications.
Do you ever have left-over windows and doors that clients don’t want?
All our products are made to order. So rarely do we have any spare or left over products. There are rare instances where a client will change their mind and we may have a piece or two of joinery that we can sell to home renovators. Sign up to our newsletter and we will be sure to let you know about any such special offers or clearance items.
Why don’t you have a broader supply of timber like some other suppliers?
We offer and promote Western Red Cedar because we believe it is highly suitable for joinery applications in Queensland and Australia for that matter and we believe that the supply chain we use for our timber are the most sustainable and environmentally responsible companies we have come across in twenty years of doing business. We love timber but not as the expense of risking native forests that are crucial to developing countries, or threatening the extinction of many endangered wildlife species and undergrowth botanical plants, their related eco systems necessary for their symbiotic survival. Our timber products come guilt-free. Aside from Western Red Cedar we can source other selected species. However firstly it’s important to determine the function for the joinery you have in mind, before deciding on which species of timber.
What are your design and build timelines from the time we pay our 30% deposit?
This depends on size of job and amount of projects in process. As much as possible we aim to work with builders and architects to meet their deadlines.
If your project is urgent you can pay a loading for week-end production.
